Japan had to settle for silver Monday as host China finished head and shoulders above the rest in the women's gymnastics team final at the Asian Games in Hangzhou. China topped the scoring on all four apparatuses to total 161.896, comfortably clear of silver medalist Japan with 157.229. North Korea took bronze with 156.829. Japan's Kahane Ushioku, who earned her team's best vault and floor scores, said the result only felt real after receiving the silver medal. "I felt tense because there were four of us competing and none of us could afford to fail, but everyone encouraged each other and had fun in the event," she said.
