ZAMBOANGA CITY—Two village officials were killed and two others were wounded in a shooting incident at Labuan Road, Barangay San Jose Gusu, here on Sunday evening amid the prevailing gun ban for the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections in October. The fatalities—Jul-Asmad Mawajil Anjawang, 56, village chair of Barangay Pamansaan of Mabuhay town in Zamboanga Sibugay province, and Jamar Anjawang Mawajil, 50, a former village councilman of Pamansaan—and eight others had just attended a wedding in Barangay Sinunuc of this city and had a stopover at a gas station in San Jose Gusu when they were attacked, said Police Col.
