The SPCA Monterey County Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Center reported receiving an influx of calls concerning seabirds washed ashore and have been conducting more rescues than usual. The center attributed the increases to the rainy weather, higher winds and rough ocean conditions over the past two weeks.
