There, he saw the full effects of the war upon Ukraine, and was inspired by the hope that people held onto.

LISTEN: An Atlanta OB-GYN practice is piloting an online maternal health care program. Virtual prenatal care visits could make care more accessible for patients in and outside metro Atlanta. GPB's Ellen Eldridge has more.   Telehealth care is growing.  The immediate need to conduct business and even education online emerged during 2020 with the COVID-19 pandemic. But now, virtual doctor visits are a way of life. That includes for expectant mothers. Northside Women's Specialists, an Atlanta-based OB-GYN practice, is piloting an online maternal health care program that could make care more accessible for patients in and outside the metro area.

Former Georgia first lady Sandra Dunagan Deal has died at 80.  She died Tuesday after a battle with cancer. Governor Brian Kemp announced her death from his Twitter account early Tuesday evening. As the wife of Georgia's 82nd governor, Nathan Deal, Sandra Deal served as the first lady of Georgia from 2011 to 2019. She was an education advocate and former public school language arts teacher. Growing up in North Georgia Sandra Deal was born in Gainesville, Ga., in 1942. Both her parents were educators.

In Georgia, there are more than 46 species of snakes, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Out of those 46 species, only six are venomous and three represent a fatal threat: the cottonmouth, diamondback rattlesnake and timber rattlesnake. But of course, if you are bitten by any snake, it can be a frightening time.
