KUALA LUMPUR: Former law minister Datuk Mohd Zaid Ibrahim has questioned the police's decision to confiscate phones during a probe. Zaid, who is currently under investigation for sedition, said that it was unnecessary as he had admitted about the post on X that he was probed for. He urged the Malaysian Bar and other human rights groups to review the matter regarding his concern under the Communications and Multimedia Act. "Making it an offense to express oneself is bad enough, but to impoverish them by taking their iPhones is cruel," he said on X (formerly Twitter) today.
