I have noticed on my MX-linux 21-3 running KDE plasma that if I try to remove VLC packges such as phonon4qt5-backend-vlc, vlc-data vlc-plugin-base it will remove several applications including  Dolphin a file manager, the network icon removed Kcal a simple calculator, sweeper a MX file clean up app. I understand that packages have depenpencies but this does not make sense specifically since removing one item like phonon4qt5-backend-vlc has a description of capturing, playing and displaying video.
