Representatives from Algeria, Egypt, France, Germany, Italy, Morocco, Qatar, Türkiye, the UAE, the UK, the UN, and the United States held informal consultations yesterday, with participation of the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Libya Abdoulaye Bathily, focused on promoting the political consensus needed for successful Libyan elections. Participants expressed their solidarity with the Libyan people following the devastating flooding in eastern Libya and noted the urgency of enhanced coordination among Libyan and international parties to ensure an effective and transparent humanitarian response.
