The American Volleyball Coaches Association ( AVCA ) announced its Team Academic Awards for the 2022–23 academic year with the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa women's indoor and beach teams both earning recognition for the third straight season. The UH Mānoa indoor and beach squads are among more than 1,300 teams to earn the AVCA Team Academic Award. The U.S. Marine Corps/ AVCA Team Academic Award honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams (men/women, boys/girls, indoor/beach) that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.
