DAR ES SALAAM, May 23 -- Tanzania is set to host the Mining and Investment Forum 2023 in the port city of Dar es Salaam from Oct. 25-26, an official announced Tuesday. "Tanzania is the gateway to east Africa's critical minerals investment opportunity," Doto Biteko, the minister for Minerals, told a news conference in Dar es Salaam, the economic hub of Tanzania. He said this year's forum will have a strong focus on global mining investments, including new projects and partnerships, technologies, regulations, and financing.
