Investigators have charged a woman following a wounding in Aitkenvale overnight. Townsville police declared a crime scene in Aitkenvale, after a 46-year-old woman was stabbed during an alleged disturbance on Ross River Road around 1.20am this morning (August 8). The woman was transported to the Townsville Hospital in a stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. Police conducted patrols of the area and within fifteen minutes, identified a person of interest. A 35-year-old Kirwan woman has been charged with wounding.
