The NSW Government is prioritising road safety on The Grand Parade in Sydney's south, with the introduction of 3 new fixed speed cameras to help prevent further road fatalities and serious injury. Two cameras will be installed from November at Brighton-Le Sands near Gordon Street and a third camera will be installed at Sans Souci near Alice Street, following an urgent review conducted by Transport for NSW. The new cameras will help prevent excessive speeding or 'hooning' in the area and follows the tragic incident in August in which 2 young boys died when the car they were travelling in lost control and hit a tree.
