Townsville City Council is launching a new online tool to help property owners across the city check their rates balance at any time on Council's website. The new Check Your Rates Balance tool allows property owners to know what their balance is at any time during the year. The launch comes as rate and utilities notices are received across the city from this week. Business Services and Finance Committee chairperson Margie Ryder said the Check Your Rates Balance tool would help property owners budget for their twice-yearly rate and utilities notices, "Council has developed the Check Your Rates Balance tool so you can keep up to date with what your rates balance looks like," Cr Ryder said.
