Sporting fields at Rockhampton's Kettle Park are set to come to life at night with the upcoming addition of new lighting to cater for the Region's growing sporting community. Rockhampton Regional Council secured $250,000 under the Queensland Government's Minor Infrastructure Program for LED Lighting, which Parks, Sport and Public Spaces Councillor Cherie Rutherford said will be a game-changer for local sports. "We're extremely grateful to receive funding from the State Government to support the Kettle Park lighting project which is a collaborative effort between Council, The Cathedral College and Queensland Rugby League," Cr Rutherford said.
