The City is searching for Gold Coast's everyday heroes who make our neighbourhoods safe. Nominations are open for the biennial Safer Suburbs Awards which celebrate individuals and organisations dedicated to making the Gold Coast a safe, more resilient and connected community. "Gold Coasters already pitch in to help keep the city safe and the awards recognise those who go above and beyond to build an even safer community," Mayor Tom Tate said. "The Safer Suburbs Awards is about saying thankyou to those community members whose work helps protect our vulnerable, educates our children and build local awareness about safety issues.
