Mibanbah Black Rocks campground in Bundjalung National Park reopened last week following a significant transformation by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS). NPWS Bundjalung National Park Ranger Emma Goodwin said the upgrade, a result of 3 years of planning and collaboration with the Bandjalang Aboriginal Corporation, has yielded a revamped campground that preserves the site's profound cultural significance. "A key focus of the upgrade was relocating the existing campsites away from the sand dunes, which house Aboriginal middens with significant cultural value to the local Bandjalang people," said Ms Goodwin.
