Wyndham City has reached an important milestone, conferring a record number of Australian citizens in Wyndham in 2023. The 10,000th Australian citizen was conferred at a Citizenship Ceremony at Encore Events Centre on 24 August. This significant milestone was celebrated with a cutting of a special citizenship cake. Two super citizenships ceremonies were held on the day with the afternoon ceremony marking the 10,000th citizen being conferred. This year has seen a record number of residents officially call Australia home after Wyndham City has substantially increased its Citizenship Ceremonies to deal with a backlog of applicants, primarily due to several years of Covid-related restrictions.
