Chris Train OBE, currently a member of the NDA Board, will take on the role of NDA Chair on an interim basis on 1 September 2023, succeeding Dr Ros Rivaz whose term as Chair ends on 31 August 2023. The Government has now launched a formal process to recruit a permanent successor . The role of NDA Chair is an appointment made by the Secretary of State at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero in consultation with Scottish Ministers. Chris said: I am delighted to take on this role. I have been part of the NDA Board for 18 months now and have seen first-hand how our work to clean-up the UK's nuclear legacy safely, securely, and sustainably is vitally important and provides a unique opportunity for us to leave a positive lasting legacy for generations to come.
