Boroondara Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance after designer handbags, shoes and jewellery were stolen from a home in Balwyn North last month. Detectives believe a man and woman gained access to the Balwyn Road home via a window on Monday 18 September just before 3pm. Once inside the home the pair collected various designer brand items, believed to be worth around $60,000, and packed them in a suitcase. The items stolen from the property include: • handbags of various brands including Gucci, Celine, Bulgari and a Hermes Birkin bag, • Hermes and Chanel shoes • Dior sunglasses, and other select items from Fendi and Robert Vivier • assorted jewellery from Bulgari, Graff, Hermes, Van Cleef Arpels, Tiffany and Dior • a Dyson vacuum cleaner, and • various specialty Lego kits.
