The mass wedding ceremony for 40 Yemeni couples of blind and visually impaired people was organized in Sana?a by the Yemeni society for the care of the blind. The ceremony was held to make it easier for blind and visually impaired people to start families due to high dowries and the deteriorating economic in war-ridden Yemen. The Yemeni society provided each groom with 600,000 Yemeni rials (1,200 euro) in addition to holding the wedding ceremony.
