Richard Thacker, 30, is the founder of Wing Fest, which claims to be the world's largest chicken wing festival, pulling in crowds of 3,750 at the Chocolate Factory in Derby over three days in May and an expected 7,500 a day in London at West Ham United's football stadium in July. Brought up in a chicken farming family, he started in 2014 in the car park of a restaurant in Dalston, east London. As the event grew, he teamed up with his business partner Dan Baxter, the founder of Gorilla Events, and launched in Manchester in 2019 followed by other cities.
