THE Namibian Seamen and Allied Workers Union (Nasawu) and the management of the NovaNam fish-processing factory at Lüderitz and Lalandi on Tuesday reached an agreement on wages and employment conditions.This would see workers receiving a salary increment of N$1,21 per hour from November.The agreement includes Lüderitz-based employees on land, wet fish fleet, and freezer fleet employees operating from Walvis Bay for the 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24 financial years. Currently the workers are receiving an hourly rate of N$20,11, but will now receive N$21,32.
