OLONGAPO CITY — Two alleged members of a communist rebel group in Central Luzon surrendered to government troops and turned over their firearms, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) said Thursday. In a report, the PRO3 identified the two as 'Ka Bunog' and 'Ka Johnny,' who voluntarily turned themselves in on Tuesday, April 11. Ka Bunog was described as a former member of Militiang Bayan, which operates in Zambales. He turned over a unit of 12-gauge improvised shotgun and 40-mm grenade ammunition when he yielded to troops from the Zambales Provincial Mobile Force Company.
