KUALA LUMPUR, June 24 (Bernama) -- The Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) will refer several allegations made against its chairman Prof Datuk Rahmat Mohamad to the Legal Affairs Division of the Prime Minister's Department (JPM) for advice and guidance. Suhakam said in a statement that the move is to ensure that the inquiry to be conducted is transparent and independent. 'Suhakam would like to address some of the allegations made against the chairman as well as the concerns raised by some non-governmental organisations regarding Suhakam's internal activities.
