MANILA, Philippines – A heat index of more 40°C may hit parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila on Friday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa). Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said Metro Manila can continue to expect maximum temperatures of 34-35 °C until Sunday, with a heat index of around 40 °C. '‘Yung ating mga nasa may plain areas dito sa may Northern and Central Luzon, possible ‘yung higit pa rin sa 40 °C na heat index o yung mararamdamang init ng ating katawan,' he said.
