MANILA, Philippines—A new national pageant for Filipino women will be mounted by Lumiere International Pageantry, a Singapore-based organization that also conducts various global competitions in both the 'Mrs.' and 'Miss' categories. Organizer Justina Quek shared with the Inquirer the news in an online interview. The national competition will be called the 'Mrs. Philippines Asia Pacific Beauty Pageant,' and will crown five Filipino queens who will all compete in her Mrs. Asia Pacific contest in Singapore.
