The victory means that Selangor FC remains in second place with 40 points, nine behind defending champions Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) and six points ahead of third placed Kedah Darul Aman FC. The club's Colombian striker, Ayron Del Valle Rodriguez was the hero of the night, scoring the solitary goal of the match and chalking up the club's 13th win this season.
