Following her christening on March 3, 2023, a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor was using the title of a princess. "I can confirm that Princess Lilibet was christened on Friday, March 3, by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, the Rev. John Taylor," the spokesperson said in a statement. Under protocols established by King George V in 1917, the children and grandchildren of a sovereign have the automatic right to the title HRH and prince or princess.
