Yoon Ki-joong, father of South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol (Yonhap) Yoon Ki-joong, father of South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and an honorary professor at Yonsei University, passed away on Sunday. He was 92.Yoon had been recently admitted to Seoul National University Hospital.A renowned economist, Yoon dedicated his academic career to studying income inequality.Born in Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province, in 1931, he studied economics at Yonsei University and at Hitotsubashi University's graduate school in Japan.
