By AP News Published Oct 7, 2023 12:25 pm LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles police officers shot and killed an armed man in a pickup truck outside a shopping center early Saturday in the San Fernando Valley, authorities said. Officers responded around 1 a.m. to reports of someone with a gun in a parking lot in the Canoga Park neighborhood, police said. Police spokesperson Jader Chaves said the shooting occurred when the armed man in the pickup did not comply with the officers' verbal commands.
