MANILA, Philippines — Around 285 passengers were forced to disembark at the MRT-3 Santolan Station in Quezon City Thursday night after smoke was detected under of train coaches emitted smoke. In an advisory, MRT-3 management said all passengers were safely transferred to the next northbound train at around 9:08 p.m. 'The affected train will undergo a mandatory inspection in order to determine the cause of the smoke,' said MRT-3 officer in charge Jorjette Aquino. 'The MRT-3 management apologizes to the affected passengers for the inconvenience caused by the incident,' she added.
