Tuesday, PointsBet got the initial green light for a so-called "untethered" mobile sportsbook license from the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC). PointsBet was the sixth and final Massachusetts sports betting mobile operator that applied to operate in the state not tied to a land-based sportsbook.
