MANILA, Philippines — The low-pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) is not expected to develop into a typhoon within the next 48 hours, the state weather bureau said on Sunday. T he Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), said that as of Sunday afternoon, the LPA was spotted some 1,505 kilometers east of the Visayas. 'Ibig sabihin bukas at Tuesday ay asahan pa ring magiging LPA ito subalit either bukas or Tuesday din papasok itong LPA dito po sa may silangan ng Visayas at yung trough or extension nito ang siyang nakakaapekto na dito sa silangang bahagi ng Mindanao,' Pagasa Weather Specialist Benison Estareja said.
