Jenee Kim of Park's BBQ, a famous Korean restaurant in Los Angeles, was chosen as this year's recipient of the Gold Award by the Los Angeles Times. "I've been running this restaurant without a break since 2003," Kim told the Chosun Ilbo. "It's a great honor to receive a big award in the year that marks the 20th anniversary." The award, named after food critic Jonathan Gold, annually recognizes an outstanding restaurant that has contributed to "expanding the notion of what southern California cooking might be.
