Kingfisher battled size and adversity to make it at least one more day in this basketball season. The Lady Jackets came from behind Thursday to beat Sallisaw 48-42 in a Class 4A area consolation game at Noble High School. It was the first of three straight wins KHS needed over the weekend to make a return trip to the state tournament. The second opportunity arrived Friday afternoon (after press time) against Oologah. Sallisaw featured a pair of post players in Addyson Gream and Madison Bolin that proved more than a handful.
