MANILA, Philippines — Isolated rains are still possible over Mindanao due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) that brings cloud bands down south, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said. Pagasa's report on Friday afternoon showed that there are rain-inducing clouds hovering over the southern parts of Mindanao, particularly Davao Region, Soccsksargen, and Zamboanga Peninsula. Aside from the ITCZ, Pagasa also said that the low pressure area (LPA) east of the country is still outside of the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), at 2,345 kilometers east of southeastern Mindanao.
