MANILA, Philippines — An alleged illegal recruiter targeting applicants of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) was arrested in Parañaque on Monday, the PCG said in a statement on Tuesday. The suspect, identified as Nelson Abordo, was arrested in an entrapment operation by the PCG and Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) in front of the Baclaran Church on Monday. The PCG said Abordo was an alleged accomplice of a certain Gly-an Jubac and John Herald Padillo, who are currently at large.
