The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) will lead the government's celebration of the 125th Philippine Independence Day on Monday with various activities throughout the country. The President, Senate President, House Speaker, Chief Justice and department secretaries usually attend the traditional simultaneous flag-raising and wreath-laying ceremonies that will be held in the country's historical places on Monday morning. The ceremonies will be held at the Rizal Monument in Manila; the Mausoleo de los Veteranos dela Revolucion in Manila North Cemetery, Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Cavite; Barasoain Church in Malolos City, Bulacan; Bonifacio Monument in Caloocan City; Pinaglabanan Shrine in San Juan City; Museo ng Kasaysayang Panlipunan ng Pilipinas in Angeles City; Plaza Independencia in Cebu City; and Peace Monument in Davao City.
