MANILA -The Department of Energy (DOE) has received 25 bids in its fourth open and competitive selection process (OCSP 4) held last week for hydropower, geothermal and wind energy resources. According to the DOE, the applicants gave offers for 13 out of the 20 available predetermined areas (PDAs), or locations with potential renewable energy (RE) resources deemed 'suitable for further development.' Energy Assistant Secretary Mylene Capongcol, who heads the OCSP 4 review and evaluation committee, noted that the DOE had received 'very good' applications, especially for wind projects.
