Comelec logo and VCM, INQUIRER GRAPHICS MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has extended the filing of certificates of candidacy (COCs) for the 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) in Metro Manila, and in areas hit by Super Typhoon Goring (international name: Seola) until September 3. September 3 falls on a Sunday and the filing and receiving of the COCs for the BSKE 2023 would be open until 5:00 p.m., the poll body noted. 'We will extend the filing of COCs in the NCR, including in the northern provinces affected by the typhoon,' Comelec chair George Garcia told reporters through Viber on Thursday.
