Niño assured the restoration of the portion of the road that collapsed on Wednesday afternoon, September 13, 2023.  A Facebook post of Cebu City Vice Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia said the contractor of the New Patria de Cebu, Dakay Construction and Development Corporation, assured him that the affected portion would be restored within two days after the incident.
