Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana built the facility to manufacture medical devices for Bloomington-based Cook Medical. Sydney Dauphinais/WFYI Less than a year ago, the corner of 38th Street and Sheridan Avenue offered a mostly empty parking lot and a bus stop. There were no grocery stores within walking distance. Arlington Woods residents worked hard to address food insecurity and other results of historic disinvestment. The bus stop is still there, and now it sits next to an almost 50,000-square-foot medical device manufacturing plant.
