MANILA, Philippines — Immigration authorities have arrested a Chinese national who had allegedly attempted to leave the country with spurious documents. The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Tuesday said a certain Ning Haochao, 24, was nabbed by the border control and intelligence unit at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 before he boarded a plane bound for Xiamen, China, on March 24. 'He was offloaded from his flight after BI officers confirmed that the emigration clearance certificate (ECC) purportedly issued by the bureau, which he presented, is counterfeit,' BI said in a statement.
