With the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) estimated at 14.21%, Hau Giang province continues to prove it as a leader of the Mekong Delta region and become the top of Vietnam. Bac Giang province and Hai Phong city posted the second and third growth rate. The top 10 provinces and cities with the highest growth rate in the first six months include Quang Ninh, Ca Mau, Nam Dinh, Hung Yen, Ninh Thuan, Khanh Hoa, and Thai Binh. Hai Phong is the only centrally-run city in the top 10 list. The remaining four centrally-run cities are forecast to have modest growth.
