DIGOS CITY, Davao del Sur, Philippines – A light truck carrying a heavy load of coconut lumber fell into a ditch in Toril District in Davao City on Sunday afternoon, injuring its driver and four passengers, including a 10-month-old baby. Maj. Jonnel Bonguyan, chief of the Toril Police Station, said that the truck came from Barangay Sibulan of nearby Santa Cruz town. While traversing Barangay Baracatan at past 4 p.m., driver Virgil Ramohal said the brakes of his truck malfunctioned causing him to lose control of it.
