The Justice Ministry wants to revise laws to punish people who threaten knife attacks or carry weapons in public more harshly. The move follows knife rampages in Seoul's Silim-dong and Bundang, Gyeonggi Province, which triggered a flood of death threats online and a couple more thwarted attacks. "We will make it punishable to carry a weapon that can be used for crimes such as murder or injury on public transportation or in crowded places without justifiable reason," the ministry said Wednesday.  "New ground rules are also needed to punish distributing or openly posting messages that may cause fear among the public such as death threats against an unspecified group of people.
