THE advent of budget airline Bonza and its Mildura-Sunshine Coast route had opened up a whole new world of opportunities for both regions, Mildura Mayor Liam Wood said after using the carrier to travel to Queensland last week. Cr Wood said he and Mildura Council chief executive Martin Hawson had already been in talks with Sunshine Coast council members and officials for months before Bonza's launch and he had wanted to use the service to begin a face-to-face economic partnership.
