BC Card filed for a patent that automatically saves the data of its customers' assets as a non-fungible token (NFT) on a blockchain net, the Korean card company said Sunday. The company hopes it will help them protect customer assets under any circumstances, even when computer problems cripple banking operation. Users of its MyData application service can update the data of their assets to BC Card. The data will be automatically saved as NFTs on a blockchain net and will be offered to customers free of charge through its Digital Wallet service.
