KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim wants Malaysia and Vietnam to further strengthen diplomatic ties which have been established by both countries over the last five decades. Anwar relayed the matter when he led an entourage of Malaysian delegates to pay a courtesy call on National Assembly of Vietnam chairman Vuong Dinh Hue. The courtesy call was part of the programme undertaken by Anwar during his two-day long official visit to Vietnam, which kicked-off yesterday (July 20). "I relayed the wishes of Dewan Rakyat Malaysia to intensify ties with the National Assembly of Vietnam for stronger cooperation between Parliaments of the two countries through dialogues and exchange of information.
