In House Resolution (HR) No. 971 they filed on Monday, ACT Teachers Rep. France Castro, Gabriela Rep. Arlene Brosas, and Kabataan Rep. Raoul Manuel questioned why brownouts occurred when the Department of Energy (DOE) assured last March 2023 no power interruption for the dry season.

VIRAC, Catanduanes – The provincial government has formally opened the 7th Abaca Festival with the theme 'Talubo Abaca, Sulong Islang Maogma' (Flourish Abaca, Thrive Happy Island) on Monday, May 22. Gov. Joseph 'Boboy' Cua, along with other provincial officials, kicked off the celebration with a Thanksgiving Mass at Immaculate Conception Cathedral. MANILA, Philippines -Property developer Ovialand Inc. said profits jumped 37 percent in 2023 due to strong sales coming from its pioneering premium affordable homes segment. The builder, which is planning to list on the Philippine Stock Exchange via a P2-billion initial public offering in the middle of the year, said net income reached P227 million in 2022 from P166 million the previous year. Revenues last year jumped 64 percent to P1.4 billion. This also brought growth in the past three years to 300 percent, it said in a statement.
