KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 21 — Deputy Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Fuziah Salleh has said that a video on the topic of a RM200 grocery budget, which went viral recently, was an old recording. Sinar Harian reported Fuziah as saying that the video was recorded last July when she visited a supermarket in Langkawi, Kedah. She also said the clip had been taken out of context and that she suspected a political motivation behind its widespread dissemination now. 'That's an old recording when we were dealing with the issue of RM200 not being enough to buy any necessities.
